Our founder, originally from S.Korea and now living in Portland, OR, the home of the Great Outdoors, has a background spanning global beauty and sportswear industries. While golfing one day at her member's course, she saw a clear gap: performance skincare hadn’t evolved for real, everyday people who play, sweat, and spend meaningful time in the sun. Many sunscreen products in the market were greasy, felt heavy, left a white cast, stung the eyes, or simply weren’t made to perform under sweat and movement. And while Korean skincare offered lightweight, elegant textures, most formulas were marketed only to women - leaving active, gender-neutral, and outdoor lifestyles overlooked. Outbound bridges these worlds, bringing the precision and comfort of K-Beauty science into formulas engineered for movement, heat, diverse skin tones, and the realities of an active life.
